Filling the Shoes

Months ago, before Moriah was born, our good friend Emily took some pictures for us in anticipation of the arrival of our daughter.  I looked at this picture, stared at those shoes, and LONGED for the day when my girl would fill them.

And now?

She fills them.

What was then a dream is now a reality.

A living, breathing, growing, laughing little bit of a girl, so fancy in her Sunday clothes, so loved and adored by all of us in the family.

I do not want to ever take this for granted.
