I love seeing the birthday cakes for your family! They all look so delicious! It also makes me wonder why in the world I set the bar so high for our kids' birthday cakes. I don't think I can ever go back to more classic cakes like yours, but I can make them on the un-birthdays!
Sally - I long ago realized that as far as the look of cakes, I was never going to amount to much. The taste, on the other hand, was (and IS) the important thing to me. THAT, I can do something about. :) You, on the other hand, are GIFTED in creating beautiful cakes - not just for the tastebuds but also for the eyes. :)
