A few nights ago, a friend of ours showed up in the evening, just as Jeff was getting home from work. He came by to give us a recliner.
Woah.
That doesn't happen every day.
Apparently at his workplace, they were getting rid of this recliner, so he thought of us and decided to pass it along to us. Fact is, several years ago, I wanted to get a recliner for Jeff; but when I priced them (even at discount stores), I realized that they were way more than we could afford at the time. So I set aside that desire and didn't think too much more about it, not having any idea that here at the beginning of 2013, a friend would bless us with one!
All of us have enjoyed time in it, but Josiah has claimed it as his special spot...at least, when Jeff is not here. :) During these cold winter days, it is wonderfully cozy to snuggle up beside the woodstove with a good book; and Josiah's been doing a lot of that.
My heart is full of gratitude for our friend's generosity in providing us with this new place to snuggle!
(...and read...and look out the window...and watch the kids play...and do schoolwork...and tickle...and talk...and draw...and even fall asleep...) :)
