I know I'm supposed to be posting about the speech and debate tournament Josiah participated in a few weeks ago.
But I could finish a post so much more quickly...
...and get to bed sooner tonight...
...if I posted about something else instead.
Let's see...during the Saturday afternoon sessions of the speech and debate tournament...
...I left Josiah at the tournament and went with the rest of the family to the wedding of a dear couple, Tess and Alex.
We had the honor of doing premarital counseling for them, and Jeff performed the ceremony. My chief responsibility during the wedding was to sit in the back row with my kids and bawl like a baby when Tess walked down the aisle to meet her groom. I did my job well. ;-)
Of course, I was helped by the fact that I looked down at my own little girl and thought about the day when she, escorted by her daddy, will walk down the aisle to meet her own husband, and then I didn't have any trouble crying. I did have trouble, however, stopping the crying session. Whew! How do parents let their kids get married anyway??? ;-)
After the wedding and before the reception, the kids got to enjoy a beautiful unseasonably warm day...
...by playing on this playground.
And now that I've finished this post, I'll go to bed and save the speech and debate post for yet another day. :)
